My days have been entirely consumed by righting other people's grammar wrongs lately, so there has been little time for much else.
Inspired by this post of Kate's though, (which I try and revisit in my head every time I feel like I don't want to get out of bed – it's a good tactic!) I've been getting up as early as I can in order to get as much work done as possible. Although it's harder to do now that it's darker in the mornings, it does feel as though you are utilising a whole new period of time that didn't even exist before, which is very satisfying.
So, as a consequence, this is a slightly disjointed post of photographs that I took a month or so ago with my film camera. Next week I will be more joined up, I'm sure.
liking this disjoinment!
ReplyDeleteLike the golden light in these photos, especially the sun is getting harder to find.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are gorgeous. I especially love the top one with that little glimmer of pink in the water (flare? I love it).
ReplyDeleteI wish I could transform into a morning person. It might help to live by the water...
Your pictures always inspire me. I would love to be able to wake up earlier than usual, every day. Maybe someday...

Beautiful pictures. I always love your film pics! I am very much a morning person, purely because my little boy gives me no choice. He wakes so early! It's always good to feel that you've made the most of a day though :)
ReplyDeletelove these. i think maybe i need to start getting up earlier and take photos while it's quiet in my neighbourhood.
ReplyDeletethese film prints are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me of the goodness of waking early. It's so wicked hot in Australia now that by mid-morning I want to lay down and not move for the rest of the day. NOT conducive to productivity. :-)
ReplyDeletesiubhan, these photos are gorgeous! i love the first ones, especially.
ReplyDeletei would love to be a morning person and get up early but sadly i don't think that is happening any time soon.
Morning time is the best! I've been getting up early too and it feels amazing, I have developed a breakfast routine taking time to prepare my my porridge and fruits and get started with my day, it's also nice on sunny days (a bit rare these days) to watch the sun rise above the houses on my street...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture too

I keep telling myself the same thing: Tomorrow I will get up early! But it's so cold. And dark. And I am so good at whining.
ReplyDeleteAh, that's so nice that you think of my post when you don't want to get out of bed! I've been guilty of sleeping in a little bit more lately since it's been darker and colder in the mornings, but only juuuust a tiny bit. Lovely photos, as always.
ReplyDeleteFirst I recognized the boat, then the tiny outsretched jetty and of course Mshed in the back. I live just a few blocks away! Nice to read your blog, I wandered over from Black Eiffel, and enjoyed your post recent post on hardcovers.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
